This is a film that had problems back on its initial release, but would now easily pass uncut.In March 1980, Everand Films had a censored version passed R18+ for theatrical release. The film was submitted to the censors with a length of 2509.92mtr (91min 44sec), it lost 31.1mtr (1min 08sec) of excessive violence to gain the rating.
This was initially released on tape in the early 80's on the Intervision label. I suspect this is the same as the cut UK version.
The film was ran into trouble once more in March 1983. Risis Ethnic Video had a 93min (v) Refused Classification.
A second tape was issued by CBS/Fox Video in 1984. This is the cut version and is listed by the censors as being passed with an R18+ rating and running 85mins (v).
There is a third tape release, this time from Force Video.
Universal Pictures released this 87m 41s print on DVD in Australia in October 2004. Unfortunately it looks like they have sourced a cut print.
