We try to avoid covering X18+ rated titles that are censored down to R18+. If an adult film is supposed to be hardcore, and is rated R18+ then it is cut, simple as that. However, the GIRLS GONE WILD series is interesting as they sit on the border between the two ratings. Indeed the whole GIRLS GONE WILD series seems to be aimed squarely at the R18+ market for soft-core sex.

This majority of the GIRLS GONE WILD series have been passed with R18+ ratings, with a few being hit with X18+. Those with X18+ ratings are usually also censored down to a more commercial R18+. Three titles have even been Refused Classification.

UNCENSORED! = False Advertising!

We have a real problem with the way the Australian distributor has been marketing the censored GIRLS GONE WILD releases. They still carry the U.S. covers, which proclaim them to be UNCENSORED! This is a blatant case of false advertising so if you feel duped then we recommend you ask for your money back.

Finally, a number of titles that were previously rated and released as R18+ have been resubmitted and increased to X18+, and in one case RC. This would seem to indicate that they might have been pre-cut prior to their original submissions

This film has never had problems with the Australian censors. It is included because the distributor censored it prior to submission to the Classification Board.

Zeal Entertainment had GIRLS GONE WILD: BEST BREASTS EVER 2 rated R18+ (High level sexualised activity and nudity) in April 2008. It was released on DVD in August 2008.

It was resubmitted and awarded a higher X18+ (Explicit Sex) rating in November 2008. This indicates that the original submission was probably pre-cut prior to classification.

The R18+ DVD runs 48:23 and is censored. I noticed on cut where Jessica (the Katie Holmes look-a-like) is shown naked on the bed with her legs apart. The guy behind the camera is heard saying "..and". The soundtrack jumps at 25:11 and we next see her on her side masturbating. I am sure this is not the only censorship.

Girls Gone Wild: First Timers

Zeal Entertainment had a DVD of GIRLS GONE WILD: FIRST TIMERS Refused Classification in May 2007.

This would seem to indicate that the sex was just a little too strong for R18+, which pushed it into the X18+ category. Once there, the restrictions would have become a whole lot tighter (e.g. zero violence), which pushed it into RC territory.

No attempt was made to get a lower rating.

The R18+ DVD of GIRLS ON GIRLS runs only 42:46. In the UK a 65:36 version was initially submitted for rating before being censored for an 18-rating. This indicates that the Australian R18+ disc is missing quite a bit of footage.

Review of censored R18+ version

The R18+ version runs 45:11 which must make it censored. Online retailers seem to quote a running time of 58m for the U.S. version. I only noticed one obvious cut (but there must be more) and that takes place at 10:36. This is the scene of the girl in the hotel room who later goes to the outdoor spa. She is shown on all four and puts her hands between her legs, the scene then cuts at 10:36.

The thing with these DVDs is that it is so easy to remove entire scenes so unless you compare it to the uncut version then it makes it hard to notice something is missing. I've attached a screen cap of the R18+ DVD menu where you can see that they claim it is uncensored.
