| Banned Porn Round UpNovember 7, 2009Since out last porn update there have been six DVDs and two magazines banned by the Classification Board.
Six RC DVDs, one censoredPerhaps indicating the continuing popularity of porn, there are four different companies behind the submissions.
First up we Australia's largest distributor Calvista who have had THIS BUTT'S 4 U 5 and RIO LOCO fall victim to the Classification Board. A 335m DVD of Chris Stream's RIO LOCO was rated RC back in September before being censored down to 285m and passed with an X18+ (Explicit Sex) in early October. That is 50 minutes of missing footage! Erik Everhard's THIS BUTT'S 4 U 5 was banned in early October and has not yet been resubmitted.
Ren Savant's THE 8TH DAY was Refused Classification on October 20th. The applicant, RCFilms.Info, has not yet resubmitted a censored print. This Adam and Eve Pictures production looks to be a little more ambitious than the usual porn that we get to see. The 8TH DAY Unfortunately in Australia, adult films that attempt to have some kind of plot usually run into problems because they undoubtedly contain some kind of violence that make them ineligible for an X18+.
Homesafe DVD lost JAMMED IN JAPAN #1 and TEEN IDOL ALL STARS. Neither has been resubmitted. The latest DVD to be banned is ROSIE UK ROAD TRIPS #6 which was submitted by FZ NSW Pty Ltd. Parts one to five have all been rated X18+ (Explicit Sex).
Abby Winters officially X18+In June 2009 the Victorian police raided offices Abby Winters following a story written by a Herald Sun journalist. The Richmond branch of the Victorian police submitted the following DVDs to the Classification Board.
In July all were passed with X18+ (Explicit Sex) ratings, and none were Refused Classification. The following twenty-seven titles were then submitted by the Yarra branch of the Victorian police.
In October all were passed with X18+ (Explicit Sex) ratings. Thirty-five titles in all, and not a single RC rating. A total waste of police time and resources!
Two banned adult magazinesOne of the more surprising decisions was the RC rating awarded to issue 76 of HOOTERS MAGAZINE. Previous issues have always been passed with either an M or Category 1 ratings. Joining it was issue 16 of the German hardcore magazine NEW CLIMAX. Previous submissions by Claredale Distributors have resulted in Category 2 ratings. The only other issue to be banned in Australia was number six from March 2004.
