Betty (Annette Haven) is a sexually frustrated wife whose husband is far more interested in watching American Football than attending to her needs. She decides to try ladies night at the Diplomat Club where all the patrons are female and all are guaranteed a warm welcome.
LADIES NIGHT is a hardcore film which would undoubtedly have been precut to remove the real sex before its Australian submissions. It’s a little surprising that a softcore version was unacceptable to the Film Censorship Board. Although the sex is pretty much constant after we arrive at the club, it’s not necessarily all that explicit or intense. It’s not especially vigorous and is fairly conventional overall. The only feature that might have raised the board’s impression of explicitness is the number of participants in the sex scenes.
