Refused-Classification.com was launched in April 2002 to document the history of Australian film censorship. Since then, we have added databases and timelines for games, adult films and publications.
We aim to archive as much detail as possible about every title in these databases.

News about upcoming titles or those we may have missed.
Modifications made to Australian advertising material such as posters, lobby cards, press sheets etc.
Current and archived censorship news articles.
Upcoming censorship events such as screenings and debates.
Any feedback you may have received from the Classification Board, Review Board etc.
Details of titles that were seized at the border.
Anything else you think may be of use. No information is too old or trivial!
Are you a distributor or a filmmaker?
To expand our archive, we would like to hear from distributors and filmmakers who have had dealings with the Censorship/Classification Board.
We are also looking for background information about any of the distributors that are mentioned on the site.
Can you identify these films?
Review our pages of unidentified movies and see if you can match them with an IMDb link. Many of these alternative titles may have only been used in Australia.
Corrections & Updates
We aim to keep the site as accurate and up to date as possible, however, errors will undoubtedly appear. Get in touch if you spot any corrections, broken links etc.

Every effort is made to provide information that is accurate. However, ratings are subject to change at any time. Consult the Australian Classification Board for their latest decisions.
It is not the intention of this site to encourage anyone to import a title that may be prohibited. We do not buy, sell, trade, or distribute any of the films, games and publications that are listed on this site.
